Dr Hugh Wirth, AM
This sculpture was commissioned by the RSPCA Victoria to honour Dr Wirth. The statue is situated in the new RSPCA Victoria headquarters which has been renamed in Dr Wirth's honour.
Hugh dedicated his life to the welfare of animals. He began his lifelong association with RSPCA Victoria in 1949. He then worked his way up through organisation before being elected president in 1972; a role he served in for 43 years.
