Rising Sun Memorial - Marrickville, Sydney
This bronze monument, commissioned by Marrickville Council in Sydney, is Andrew's interpretation of the iconic Rising Sun insignia.
The work commemorates the Australian Armed Forces personel from the Marrickville Shire who gave their lives during the course of the Second World War. Accompanying the sculpture are two plaques with the names of nearly 600 personel. This project formed part of more extensive upgrades to the park and its surrounds.
